The portraits of my parents. They are separated by being on a different photograph but connected with the same background – the sky.
This visual simplicity hides a predominant emotion – distance. The distance gently appears. It is hidden behind a veil of melancholy and sadness.
The focus slowly shifts from the parents to the observer, in this case, their child.
What stays unrevealed is the answer to the question what I captured here, the reality or the romantic version of my own desire.
